Room 15's Class Treaty

Our Class Treaty

Our class treaty is something that can't break.  Together we made up the rules.  The rules tell us what to do and what not to do.

We have a class treaty so we all do the right things. If you walk into our class and turn to the left, you will see it on the wall.

1# We made up the ideas on the mat. 2# Our teacher published it. 3# We all  did a Hibiscus flower.
Finally, Matua Bryan took pictures of us.

  1. Hi Room 15 !

I really enjoyed reading all about your Treaty. I like how you have examples to explain each rule. I think that makes the rules very clear. My favourite line is the one that says the Treaty is something that cannot break. I can tell you did a lot of collaborative group work and thinking in order to create such a thoughtful treaty.

Great re-telling Theo ! Keep it up!

  2. Hello from Canada, Room 15!

Using a treaty in your class is a great idea! We use them in schools in Canada, too -- and I often use them with students in college and university! Even when you're older, it helps to know and understand what everyone's expectations are of the group, and how to talk about any problems. It is great that you are all learning this skill very early on!

And good work telling the story of your classmates' work, Theo! Proud of you!

    Uncle Christopher
