Collage

Room 7 is learning how to collage.

Over term 1 we noticed that a lot of the birds in our forest have been scared away from the noise of the building site.

We researched ways to bring the birds back and looked at some of the birds that visit our school.

Check out our work....

1. First we painted to pieces of paper and made our bird from that.

2. Next we made the trunks by rubbing crayon onto paper.

3. Next we painted shadows onto the trunks.

4. Next we collaged a boarder using magazines.

5. Then we put them all together and finished our birds with some feathers.

The time my cousins come to my house by Maia

On Christmas my cousins are coming to my house. I can't wait for  them to come to my astonishing  house.At first we are going to open our stupendous presents .My amazing cousins are so happy. Their names are Claire and Mia. Then we are going to have a picnic in my glamtastic garden. My Mums birthday is on Christmas .I Love Christmas and my cousin's do to.

Yahooo, yipee. In the holidays my glorious and glamorous cousins came to my astonishing house.

At first we bounced on my stupendous tramp.  My amazing tramp is I think is....25km. After a while

we had a picnic. Then we played mums and dads. My cousins names are...Riley and Indy.

What is this book about?

It's about a cat who is trying to eat mice.  The mice are very cleaver because they trick the cat!

What made this book interesting?

Joy Cowley used lots of interesting words like "mouse time" "snorting snores" "twitching claws" "whiff".

Would you recommend this book to other kids?

Yes, they should read this book because it's a funny book.  Especially the part about the cat sneezing.  The pictures were also very good.

I  went  to  the  skatepark  with  my  brother.

  It  was  fun  then  we  went  inside and      then I   was  playing  on  the   x-box.

  I   was  playing  with  Decklan    and   we   went   to   my  house.

Cha Cha Cheetah By Zephyr

Pitter, patter, pitter, patter goes the rain on Room 7. 

It's a rainy day today. Suddenly Cha Cha Cheetah zooms into the room like a silver dart! 

He is holding a gold bongo! He is wearing about 1,000,000 jewels all over him!!! 

His hands are a blur once he starts playing them. 

I feel soooooooooo shocked that I think a poisoned arrow hit me in the brain!!!!!!!

Cha Cha Cheetah walked into the class when it was a rainy day.

The Kids were doing writing silently.

Cha Cha Cheetah looks like a glorious disco ball.

I felt very happy.

BOOM! goes his bongos when the kids are writing.

Clap, clap,clap, goes the kids when the gleaming gold bongos are playing in the class.

Everyone is staring at him.

I think he likes us!

   Over  the  weekend it was  Easter. I went fishing  with my Dad's friend and my Dad caught a  yellow tail.  We  didn't eat it  because it is a cat food because it is stinky like a rotten cabbage.
I feel good because it is in the garbage.

Over the weekend it was Easter. I love easter. It is cool because you get to hunt for chocolate eggs. It was the first time my sister had ever had chocolate.

I got two fabulous Easter eggs.  

I felt sparkly like a disco ball.
