Collage

Room 7 is learning how to collage.
Over term 1 we noticed that a lot of the birds in our forest have been scared away from the noise of the building site.

We researched ways to bring the birds back and looked at some of the birds that visit our school.

Check out our work....

1. First we painted to pieces of paper and made our bird from that.

2. Next we made the trunks by rubbing crayon onto paper.

3. Next we painted shadows onto the trunks.

4. Next we collaged a boarder using magazines.

5. Then we put them all together and finished our birds with some feathers.

    You must have needed such excellent focus to finish these pictures - your hard work has paid off though Room 7, they are GORGEOUS. I like the collage, the different materials and techniques make the birds look 3D.

    I wish I could see them flying in the trees, can you imagine how stunning they would be?
