Forest Layers by George

Wednesday 19th March.

There are three layers in a forest. THERE is  the canopy and the understory and the forest floor.  It also has bugs and Animals composting.

The canopy is the top layer of the forest the trees over there get the most sunlight and rain.
The understory is where the baby trees grow.

The forest  floor is where the frogs hop. Lots of things compost there and make soil.

  1. Hi George, isn't it amazing that all the insects, birds and different sized trees can live so well together. Forests are so cool, thanks for labeling the different levels in the forest so well.
