Kowhai Team Visit To Ambury Farm.

On Wednesday 12th December Kowhai Team went to Ambury Farm.

We learnt about different types of fibres.

We then got split up into different groups.

We saw lots of animals.

We made felt.  It was fabulous.

We liked the dog ... woof woof :)

His name was Skye and he was gorgeous.

Little Red Astronaut By Orla

Once upon a time in a groovy high-tech Space station located in the hooded galaxy lived a girl called Little Red Astronaut. She got that name from a red suit grandma gravity made her.

Bloop, Bloop,Bing,Bloop,Bloop,Bing...

the sky blue holographic projector switched on tiny pixilated cubes quickly gathered like a big puzzle to reveal a 3D image of Grandma Gravity. Mum ran to tell Red that Grandma got the flu when she was taking samples of Neil Armstrong's boot prints on the moon. So Red had to take her some moon cakes. Red grabbed an anti-gravity camber and filled it full of moon cakes. As she heroically bounded out of the Space Station, Mum said not to talk to aliens in the asteroid belt! Soon she was on her way to Grandma Gravity's research laboratory on the rocky moon. On the way she meet the Big Bad Alien and she told him that she was going to Grandma Gravity's research laboratory on the rocky moon. The Alien thumped off to the moon. Soon the Alien was knocking at grandma gravity's research laboratory door.

The Alien gulped down Grandma Gravity in one big bite! 
then he put on her laboratory coat and got in the bed.

Knock,Knock! ...

it was Red ... he let her come in.

"Grandma what big eyes you have" said Red.

"All the better to see you with" said the Alien. 

"But Grandma what a big nose you have" said Red. 

"All the better to smell you with" said the Alien.

"Grandma what big teeth you have"said Red. 

"ALL THE BETTER TO EAT YOU WITH" shouted the Alien jumping out of the bed.

Professor Rock heard the sound and came to help them. He shot the Alien and out popped Grandma Gravity.
They then sat down for tea.

Little Red Astronaut ... re-told by Kaia .

Once upon a time in a floating, huge Space Station located in the Red Galaxy there lived a girl named Little Red Astronaut. She always wore a red cape made by Grandma Milky Way, over her space suit.  Her nickname which everyone called her was Little Red Astronaut.She was as uncarful as a deer and curious.

Blonk! Dong! Ding!

The holographic projecter was turning on.  Mum and Little Red Astronaut came running to see who it was.  It was Grandma Milky Way!? She was very sick and wanted some cakes and see Little Red Astronaut.Mum said she could go with a basket of cakes and through the astroid belt.She wanted to make sure that Little Red Astronaut was safe so she warned her not to talk to cunning aliens who lived in the astroid belt.

Little Red Astronaut zipped out of the swirling Space Station with a flaming jet pack on her back and a basket of cakes in her hand.Ahead of her was the lonely,dark astroid belt.Little Red Astronaut was so excited since it was her first time going alone through the astroid belt.She zoomed past giant astriods until her jetpack ran out of fuel,she had to fix it herself.The Big Bad Alein came lurking out between a big crater.He asked her where she was going with the cakes.She told him she was taking the food to Grandma Milky Way on the dusty moon.He told her quickly that he must go somewhere and was late.She belived him ?!

 Little did Red know that Professer Rock was taking poisonous rock samples nearby.He was watching their every movement.Professer knew the Alien well.Professer Rock knew that the Alien could get into horrible mischef so he followed Big Bad Alien.Little Red Astronaut had fixed her jet pack. She wasn't as fast as the Alien because it wasn't fixed correctly. The Alien arrived at the lonley moon.He saw Grandma Milky Way's lab.He chuckled to himself. This would be this best day of his life.Professer Rock hid behind a big crater and watched the Alien carefully. The Big Bad Alien banged on the door. The lab shook.A croaky voice allowed him to come in.He pushed the door open. Grandma screamed.
She jumped out of the folding bed like a kangaroo. They ran round and round the lab banging into things,till the Alien cornered Grandma. Before she could run away he ate her greedliy. This was certanly turning out to be the best day of his life. Little Red Astronaut arrived finally.


She didn't know that the Alien was wearing Grandma's lab coat and lying in bed.He told her to come inside. She opened the door and walked towards the bed slowly.''Grandma you have tentacals ''said Red.''Better to feel you dear ''reply's the Alien. She walks closer.''What big eyes you have''she said.''All the better to see you come closer''said the Alien. Red came closer.''Oh what big nose you have''she said.''Better to smell you''he said.''What big teeth you have''says Red.''To eat you!''yells Big Alien.He jumped out of the bed. Little Red is chased round the lab screaming. Professer Rock hiding outside hears the comotion.He runs inside still holding the jug containing poisonous rock samples. He pours it down the Aliens throat. The Alien falls to the floor and dies. Professer cuts open the stomach and out  comes Grandma. They share the cakes. My Mum's Birthday!

This morning, it was my Mum's Birthday. I woke up at 6:09 in the morning and then Dad woke up and we all went into Mum's bed. I woke up 6:46 in the morning. When my brother finished his toast, we woke up Mum and gave her 2 cards from Me and Raneel and the present from Me. Then I said to Mum  
"Are you going to stay home for your birthday like Raju Kaka." "Yes I am." said Mum. I made Mum's birthday card yesterday in Andrea's class. When Raneel gave her card to Mum, Mum said"That's so lovely Raneel" and then when I gave Mum her card she said " Wow Shaan! Where did you make the card. "In Andrea's class." I said. Mum today woke up at quarter to 8. I felt so excited when Mum loved my card.
