Boing, zing, zang! I jump off the ginormous trampoline at tri star gym. first I have to jump forwards in BIG, HUMONGOUS jumps. Then I move fantastic gyms and were aloud to use any tiring gym equipment. Finally I go to the party room. There are MILLIONS of balloon's and we eat lots of junk food. I Feel completely exhausted because it was a HUMONGOUS, ENORMOUS lesson!!!! THE END :-)

 Space has many stars.

In space there are astronauts.

It is dark in space.

 The moon has creators.

Astronauts land on the moon.

The Moon has no air.

 S - Solar System.

P - Planets.

A - Astronaut.

C - Comet.

E - Earth.

 M - Moons.

A - Astrometry.

R - Red Dust Planet.

S - Sun.

V - Volcanoes.

E - Earth's size.

N - Nebular. 

U - Under a lot of heat.

S - Sulphuric Acid. 

Mars By Immy, Rita, Kate, Tai, Eli

Mars  is  the  red  planet  because it has red dust.  Mars  is  Earth's  neighbour.  Mars look's like a  desert. Mars has line's that look
like river's. Between  Mars  and  Jupiter  there is  an asteroid belt.
Mars has the highest mountains in our Solar System.
Some people call it the Rocky Red Planet.
Mars has ice and it is the 4th Planet from the sun.
Ryder wonders if the ice melted on Mars, would people be able to live there?

We have been learning how to use WOW words to describe colours...

Space Inquiry Learning

Room 7 is learning what Inquiry Learning is.

We talked about making our own open-ended questions.  

Open ended questions have long answers.

We worked in small groups and brainstormed questions we would like to research.

Grandparents Day

Here is what Room 7 kids have to say about Grandparents Day.

Sasha - On Grandparents Day we dressed up in fancy clothes.

Kayne - We had a parade at school.  We did Kapa Haka.

Lewcius - We did a dance and we saw other classes.

Finn - We showed our Grandparents around our class.

Siena - We dress up as butterflies and caterpillars.

Eli - I took my Grandparents to Room 3 to donate a book.

Jasmin - We have morning tea with our Grandparents.

Zephyr - We did a character parade.

Rita - We showed what we planted for Arbor Day.

Maia - On Grandparents day we went to Room 3 to donate a book.

Arbour Day

On Wednesday 5th June it was Arbor Day.  Room7 and Room 4 planted plants in the garden by the office.

Maia - On Arbour we plant so fruit can grow.  Trees can give you energy when you hug them.

Rita - You can plant trees.  They are important because they help us breathe. 

Zephyr - We planted the Hibi Jewel of The Nile.  Trees are being cut down all the time to make farmlands, cities and table and chairs.  It's important that replace the cut down trees.

We sang "In My Garden" to help it grow.
