(Jaimes Mum side) Jaimes Grandmother  is from Waiomio (north of Whangarei).  She is Ngati Hine.  Jaimes Great Grandmother was from Motatau.  

Jaimes Grandfather is from Waitangi, Te Puke.  He is Tapuika, Te Arawa. 

Jaimes dad is Lincoln

Jaimes Grandmother (on Dads side) was born in Matamata.  Her mum and dad were from Larne, County Antrim.  Larne is a port town in Northern Ireland.

Of his Great Grandparents one side Immigrated from Greece and the other side were already here.

Maias Dads parents are Both from America, his mother New York and dad New Jersey.

The name Gomes is originally from Lisbon, Potugal where his family immigrated from originally to New Bedford, Massachusetts.

I am a 6th generation New Zealander on both sides of my family. My ancestors on my Dad's side (Kelly) arrived in the Hokianga. My ancestors on my Mum's side (Eglinton) arrived in the Wairarapa.

Jasmin's maternal Grandparents were both born in the UK (as was Jasmin), and they emigrated to New Zealand in 1973. Jasmin emigrated here in 2011.

Jasmin's paternal grandparents were both born in New Zealand, but her Nana's father emigrated to New Zealand from the UK

As for traditional foods - we make parking for bonfire night (guy fawkes) and also eat bangers and mash (sausages and mash) that night. We do traditional English Christmas pudding etc. We also try to do pancakes on pancake Tuesday. When we lived in England we used to carve a pumpkin on Halloween and eat pumpkin dishes because it's during autumn over there.
