Art inspired by Warren Pohatu.

We have been reading Mokai Rangatira By Warren Pohatu.

We were really inspired by his beautiful pictures and stories about different animals.
So we made our own using sharpie, water paint, coloured pencils and pastels.

We had to shade, use contrasting colours and use the entire page.

Have a look at the results....

Alliteration By Oliver

Hi my name is Oliver and I'm going to show you how to do alliteration.
This is how you do it.

An armoured armadillo avoiding an angry alligator. See all those letters start with A but occasionally you have to use a little word such as and.
I will do other alliteration sentences.

Diabolical dragons daintily devouring delicious delicacies.

Last night Room 15 took to the stage in their last performance of Alejandro.
I am so proud of all the children in Room 15.  They have been working so hard on researching Spain and learning the dances.

Thank you all the parents that took time out of their busy days and helped me make this item come alive!

Have a fabulous break!

SEVEN DAYS IN VANUATU

SEVEN DAYS IN VANUATU!!!!!!!!!

On Friday 17 August I went to Vanautu. It was a three hour and a half flight  but it was all worth it!

when we got there it was really hot and the air port was completely different to the ones that we have here.they don't have many shops and when you get on and off the plane it doesn't go straight in to the air port,it just gos down to the place planes lane on!!!

As soon as we got there we had lunch.the service was really bad and when we got our lunch

TWO HOURS had passed!!!!!!!!!!
when we got to our motel I got the best bed in the motel!!!It was really small and was kind of like a mini closet ,but no random person walking by could see my bed and anyone could easily see my sister, mum and dad.
when we were all un-packed we all went down to the pool, there were three huge pools and one little one.''B.T.W. the little pool was a spa!''When we were going back to our motel we saw a huge spider about this big....

Anyway a couple of days later on Sunday morning I had a new friend named Saky's pronounsed sa-key.

She is a really nice for a twelve year old.we started off chucking a ball to each-other and that's when we met three new friends....brook,phibee and monnie.Brooks 9,Phibes 8 and Monnies 10.
It was really windy there so the ball kepted flying out of the pool!It was really annoying because we had to keep getting out of the pool to get the ball!!

The next day we moved motel to one by the beach Saky and I started something new called crab hunting. We got millions of crabs and the biggest one we got was something around this big....

and this is the size of the biggest crab I saw in Vanuatu and I'm telling you its HUGE!!!!
